1962년 강릉에서 태어났다. 어릴 때부터 그림을 그리고 싶었지만 여건이 허락치 않아 대학 졸업 후 대기업에 취직했고 40세부터 개인 사업을 시작했다. 인생의 후반부를 예술에 전념하기 위해 50이 되던 해부터 사진을 찍기 시작했다. 다수의 그룹전에 참가했다. 갤러리 류가헌에서 첫 개인전 <티벳 사람들The Tibetan>을 열었다.

Born in Gangneung in 1962. When he was little, he wanted to paint, but the situation didn’t allow him. After he graduate the university, he got employed in a large enterprise, and at 40, he started running his own business. In order to dedicate the latter half of his life, he started taking pictures when he turned 50. He has participated in multiple group exhibitions since then. At the gallery Ryugaheon, he held his first solo exhibition <The Tibetan>(2019).
